We design our jewelry using the highest quality of materials available. This includes sterling silver beads and components, 14k gold-filled beads, Swarovski Crystals, semi-precious stones, and wire.

Sterling silver (92.5%) – This includes all silver beads, alphabet letter blocks, crimps, chain and clasps. For more information on Sterling Silver, please refer to Shelly’s Care Instructions.

14k gold-filled beads - These beads have real 14k gold bonded to a base metal core (usually brass), giving it more strength and making it more resistant. Gold-filled beads have an actual layer of gold, making it higher in value and tarnish-resistant. Gold-filled is not the same as gold-plated. Gold-plated is a thin sprayed on layer of gold that eventually wears off?

Shelly's Jewelry uses 49-strand stainless steel cable because it is very strong but still drapes nicely.

Bali beads - Made with a unique design of intricate detail and come in a large variety of shapes and sizes. These beads are not designated as sterling because they usually have less than 92.5% silver content. We purchase only handmade Bali beads because they are far superior in quality, giving more value to your jewelry.

Swarovski crystals, semi-precious stones and fresh water pearls are available to match your unique taste. The shapes and sizes may change depending on your style and on the availability of the item. Rest assured we purchase only the highest quality of materials.
